Julia Hardy


Julia began working as a Speech Pathologist at Engage VR in March 2023.

Julia is a Speech Pathologist with 9 years experience. She has worked in large teaching hospitals in New South Wales, Victoria and Western Australia in adult acute and rehabilitation settings with a particular interest in stroke recovery and quality improvement. Julia has also worked as a clinical educator and in a research capacity overseeing national speech pathology projects regarding speech pathology student placements.

Julia is passionate about everyone’s right to communicate and loves creating a supportive and motivating environment for her clients.


Julia has a passion for supporting clients in their journey following a stroke or brain injury, and also for those diagnosed with progressive neurological conditions such as Dementia, Parkinson’s and Huntington’s Disease. Her particular clinical interests include communication therapy to support meaningful relationships, as well as reading and writing therapy. Julia is also experienced in Modified Barium Swallows and enjoys assessing and diagnosing swallowing disorders and guiding rehabilitation and management of swallowing difficulties.
