Sheronne Brackenbury

Meet our dedicated Speech Pathologist, whose expertise lies at the intersection of dysphagia, communication disorders and the neurodiverse community. Sheronne has been a member of the Engage VR team since 2020, starting as a valuable E-Sport Trainer and transitioning to full time speech pathologist upon graduation from the University of Newcastle in 2022 with a Bachelor of Speech Pathology (Honours). Passionate about ensuring that every individual finds their voice and maintains their quality of life, Sheronne brings a wealth of knowledge and a compassionate approach to our team. Recognising the unique challenges and strengths of each client, Sheronne is committed to providing tailored interventions and is a strong advocate for those in the neurodiverse community. Sheronne enjoys delving into the latest research, ensuring her practices are informed by the most recent advancements in the field, and pushes the boundaries of traditional therapy approaches by incorporating innovative technologies such as virtual and augmented reality.

Outside of the clinic, she is a staunch supporter of local team sports, including cricket and netball, and you’ll often hear her cheering passionately for all things Queensland (we won’t hold that against her though). When not working or at a game, she loves spending time with her energetic puppies, Max and Pippa, or hosting family and friends for a delicious home-cooked meal.
