Kylie Starr


Kylie graduated from Sydney University in 2007, having previously completed a degree in Exercise & Sport Science. Kylie started her physiotherapy career at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, before moving into private practice.

Kylie has worked in a variety of different settings including acute & rehabilitation hospital settings, private practice & sporting settings. Kylie has provided physiotherapy services for a number of sporting organisations including Rugby League, Football (soccer) and Netball teams.

Kylie’s experience across a number of different treatment settings has enabled her to develop a large variety of skills in treating a diverse range of conditions including neurological conditions, sports injuries, spinal and pelvic pain/injuries, orthopaedic conditions (including pre and post operative care), women’s health concerns, headaches and workplace / ergonomic injuries.


Kylie is passionate about getting the best outcomes for her clients and helping them achieve whatever goals they strive for, no matter how big or small they are. Kylie is a perfectionist who prides herself on her compassion and patience; and her ability to think outside the box, devising fun and creative ways to incorporate specific activities into a client’s rehabilitation program.

Kylie loves a laugh, a chat and a good coffee (with cake). Kylie can often be found at a Newcastle Jets game or down at the beach, with her family, when she is not at work.

Kylie has completed further study in the following areas:

Women’s Health including treatment of prolapse, stress & urge urinary incontinence
Assessment, Diagnosis and Treatment of the Hand, Wrist, Spine, Shoulder & Pelvis
Thermoplastic splinting of the upper limb
Plastering and splinting
Dry Needling using acupuncture needles
